Keep your Gutter System clear and functioning properly with our professional cleaning services. We will then add Gutter Guards to your Gutter System so that they will stay clear of debris and flow properly free of clogs.

Gutter guard and Under Ground Drains

If you have invested in under ground, French drains for your downspouts to get water away from your home and foundation.  It is best to invest in Gutter Guard to ensure that your downspouts and drains do not get clogged by debris. Guard is a cost effective investment so that underground drains do not have to be dug up due to debris clogging them.

Reduce gutter maintenance

Unprotected gutters need regular cleaning, Getting up to clean your gutters or hiring someone to do the work takes up your valuable time and money, as well. With gutter guards, you can avoid climbing ladders or paying to unblock gutters since the gutter guards will keep most of the debris out. Anyone looking for a low-maintenance solution should consider getting gutter guards.

Thinking about selling your home, increase its value by offering a maintenance free gutter system on the home.

Extend your gutter life

Getting gutter guards can also help extend the life of your gutter system. Since they prevent clogs, they help reduce the chance of damage that standing water and debris can cause. Waterlogged gutters can be more prone to deterioration, reducing their life span and requiring expensive repairs. Gutter guards help protect your gutters, giving them a long-term shield against damage.

Protect your home

Gutter guards help protect your seamless gutters and your home. Clogged gutters can lead to water overflowing and running down the side of your house. This water pools next to your foundation, soaking in and leading to soil erosion and structural damage. With gutter guards, you prevent clogs and ensure proper water drainage, preventing these issues. Your gutters will channel water away from your foundation, minimizing foundation damage and preventing soil erosion.

Deter pest

Gutter guard installation can help with preventing pest infestations. Clogged gutters can become a nesting space for insects and animals. Pests love to break down the organic debris and breed, eventually getting into your home. Gutter guards create a barrier that stops these conditions, keeping pests from hanging around.

Pest that may lurk in your gutters

  • Birds
  • Rodents - Mice, Squirrels, Chipmunks
  • Bees and Wasps

Fascia Trim

Soffit Replacement new fascia trim, Fascia Trim and Soffit

A face lift for your home

Update the look of your home by changing the color of your fascia coverings and soffit.

Keep your home ventilated properly with clean and functioning Soffit. Soffit helps regulate your home's temperature, allowing your roof to “breathe.” Cool, dry air is drawn into the soffit vent, and hot moist air is forced out of roof exhaust vents. Protect the wood fascia with aluminum trim to prolong the life of the wood and protect it from the elements. A great time to update your Fascia Trim and Soffit is with your Seamless Gutters Installation.

Fascia Trim & Soffit Damage

The most common causes of fascia trim and soffit damage are water and sun exposure. These two elements are well known to South West Floridians such as those in Lee County. Being exposed to these elements for long periods, fascia and soffit boards may end up with wet or dry rot. Over time, these boards may crumble as well. It is best to cover with Vinyl or Aluminum Fascia Trim and Soffit and ensure installed properly without leaking behind onto the wood. A great time to replace Fascia trim and soffit is at the time your Seamless Gutters are Installed.

Soffit without Trim

Soffit can be replaced sometimes without replacing Trim but not always.

The Trim typically holds the soffit in place. Depending on how your current fascia trim was installed it may need to be bent or manipulated to remove and replace soffit and sometime it will need to be completely removed and new installed to replace the soffit.

Typically if you do one, you do the other.

Trim without Soffit

Trim can be replaced without replacing your current soffit. However, once the trim is removed because it is typically holding that soffit in place the soffit may come down and may need to be reinstalled with the new trim installation.

Proper Drip Edge installation - This old house shows us

Check out this great video on how a drip edge should be installed properly when getting a new roof installed. The drip edge should never be installed tight to the fascia and this video shows how tight drip edge will cause fascia damage over time. When the drip edge is properly installed this helps wiproper gutter installation. If the Drip Edge is not installed properly your gutters may have to be installed on top of the drip edge. This can be done but is not the preferred method of installation.

Roofing and gutter installation

New Roof Drip Edge in Gutter, Drip Edge, Roofing

Getting a New Roof ?

IF YOU ARE GETTING A NEW ROOF THIS IS A MUST WATCH. (see below)

It is best to have gutters removed before installing the new roof and drip edge. Also, make sure there are no nails or screws in the Fascia Trim under the Drip Edge so that the new gutters can be installed under the drip edge properly.

Gutters can be installed on top of the drip edge but this is not the preferred way or proper way to install it. If gutters are installed on top of the drip edge, leaking behind the gutters can occur.

New drip edge should be installed with a 1/8" gap minimum so that it is NOT tight against your fascia trim. You do not want the drip edge against fascia trim for two reasons. 1 drip edge should not touch fascia as it then allows the water to run onto the fascia wood and rot it or go up under fascia and come into your home causing water damage. 2 if the drip edge is too tight to the fascia the gutter cannot be properly installed under the drip edge as it should be.

Drip Edge

Gutter with Roof Drip Edge, Drip Edge, Roofing

Why do I Need a Drip Edge on My Roof ?

A drip edge is an angled piece of flashing that is installed over top of a fascia board. The purpose of a drip edge is to help redirect water from the fascia and into the gutters. The gutters then carry this water away.

Drip edges can be installed on the rake, eaves, and gable of your roof. They extend beyond the fascia and are a minimum of one-third of the gutter width.

Metal drip edges are typically made of a non-porous, non-corroding metal, like galvanized steel or aluminum.. They can also be constructed out of durable plastic, vinyl, or fiberglass.

  • They prevent fascia and soffit damage: Drip edges redirect water away from your roof’s vulnerable soffit and fascia areas and funnel it into your gutters. If your soffit and fascia are left exposed, they can be damaged by the excess moisture. This damage can take the form of discoloration and wood rot.
  • Drip edges keep pests out of your home: Drip edges cover the “carpenter’s gap” of your roof. A carpenter’s gap is the area of space between a roof deck and a fascia board. This area of your roof is often responsible for letting small animals or other unwanted pests enter your home through your attic.
  • They can keep your porch dry: Because drip edges redirect water into gutters, you don’t need to worry about a downpour washing down from your roof and onto your porch or deck during heavy rain.
  • They stabilize your roof: Roof edge flashing can help stabilize your roof during strong wind or rain. Since wind damage is among the top reasons homeowners file insurance claim this is one benefit you should not ignore.

When it comes to a drip edge install, it’s best to let experienced professionals take care of it. If a drip edge is installed incorrectly, water will not flow into the gutters properly. This issue can lead to wood rot and other water damage, which can destroy the fascia and soffit. Damages caused by an incorrectly installed drip edge may lead to costly repairs in the future.

The drip edge should be angled to allow the rainwater to drip directly into the gutter, however, each roof is unique and may require the drip edge to be bent or installed in a way to allow this action to take place. If you notice water dripping between your home and the gutter, it may be as simple as readjusting the drip edge.

Roofers Trapped Gutters Under Drip Edge

See a video of why these gutters cannot be removed from this home.. The Gutters are trapped under the new roofs drip edge. To removed them would destroy the drip edge thus voiding the roof warranty
